We all love Lake Simcoe, to swim, to fish, and to take in the views. But Lake Simcoe is facing significant challenges, as frequent storms and warmer winters increase the amount of phosphorous runoff from nearby paved roads – which creates higher algae levels in the lake and a disrupted ecosystem.

Ontarians have been waiting since 2009 for action to fix the phosphorus issues with Lake Simcoe.

Successive governments have made promises, passed legislation, but we need specific funding and action on the Lake Simcoe Strategy.
